Gemologist and Jewelry Appraiser, Chris Cable visited Anna
Quinn Jewelry. Mr. Cable was asked to explain the importance
of having your jewelry appraised. The following was shared:
- Peace of Mind - By having a second opinion,
you can feel at ease with your decision of a jewelry purchase.
- Insurance Documentation - Because each
stone is unique, proper documentation is wise for fair replacement.
- Positive Identification - The appraisal
provides proof of ownership to the police if the jewelry
is stolen.
- Loss - Because of the proof of the value
of lost jewelry, one may be able take a casualty loss deduction
on their income tax return.
